Merry Christmas

Hello there friends!
Dropping in today to share a Christmas card I created using very old 3D cutout paper...I don't even know where they come from.

I hope you see how it is constructed. I stamped the sentiment on white CS, cut-out a heart, sponged it with red Distress inks and covered it with Glossy Accents. Then I die-cut the same heart out of black foam and attached them together for dimension.
Thanks for stopping by, I wish you all a wonderful weekend!

A Greeting At Christmas Time...

Happy Saturday friends!
For today's Christmas card I have combined the colors green, brown and gold.

First, I created a panel using the Memory Box Pinecone Frame die and backed it with a gold/brown glitter paper using foam tape to give dimension...just love all that glitter!
Next, I die-cut the Pine Needle Border, also from Memory Box and sponged it with green Distress inks. The K-designs sentiment was gold heat embossed and I finished of by adding a few brown bling stones.
Hope you like this card as much as I do.
Hugs, Birgit

Have A Nice Day...

Hello there!
Today I have a card for a couple of challenges, the OLC Stenciles challenge over at Less is More, the One Layer at Addicted to CAS...and it became an experiment with different media.

I started with the Mask Stencil Feathers from Pronty and I sponged over Distress inks but ... I thought it needed some texture, so I mixed some color pigment together with embossing paste and added that too. And as if that wasn't enough, I gave it another layer, this time with Diamond Stickles and Glossy Accents. Then I used another stencil The Crafters Workshop Mini Tile Texture to create the background. Then it had to be a simple Svenska Textstämplar sentiment in teal blue.
I don´t know what I think about the end result, but it is fun to play around sometimes.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Evereyone!
Today I have  a Birthday card in a slightly old-fashioned but also summery style to show. I have used a couple of stencils from Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi and the ScrapBerry´s  "Beautiful Flowers" stamp set.

The Butterfly is from a napkin that I adhered to cardstock and then added metal tape on the backside before I cut the butterfly out by hand, the metal tape allows the wings to bend.

I have used:
Stamps: ScrapBerry´s/Beautiful Flowers, Inkido/Hjärtliga Gratulationer Sentiment
Stencils: Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi/3 Fluorishes, Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi/ Polka Dotty

Love

Hello there!
Today I have a card  for Frilly and Funkie´s "Marvellous Metallics" challenge even though my card is not so vintage or shabby chic, I started with that intention but the result was something else, I don't know how I thought.
It appears not so good on the photo, but I've cut out flowers by hand and arranged them using foam tape to add dimension. For the metallic heart, I used metal tape on a chipboard heart and run it through an embossing folder before I added media.

I have used:
Dies: Diamond Press/Love and Hearts
Embossing Folder: Mpress/Swirls 1
Papers: Prima Marketing/ (Old) "The Optimist" Collection "Bloom", White Glitter Paper
Media: Deco Art/Black Acrylic Paint, A Couple of Inka Gold´s
Other: Ranger/Black Diamond Stickles, Black Enamel Dot, Foam Tape, Chipboard heart

Ok, that´s all for today I think, as always thanks so much for stopping by!
Hugs, Birgit
